Artisan launches Ava 2.0 autonomous AI BDR for enterprise

Artisan launched Ava 2.0, which it describes as an autonomous AI BDR for enterprise that runs outbound from research to booked meetings.

Artisan launched Ava 2.0 on May 26, 2026, describing it as a ground-up rebuild of its AI business development representative for enterprise revenue teams. The company says Ava now runs outbound end to end: identifying and researching prospects, writing individual outreach, running email sequences, handling replies and objections, queuing warm leads for reps in a built-in dialer and booking meetings on reps' calendars. Approval gates and escalation rules can be set at every stage. Artisan says thousands of companies joined the waitlist, and that the largest deployment runs Ava across more than 1,000 reps. The post notes it was updated in July 2026.

The details

  • Artisan cites a database of more than 250 million B2B contacts and 130 million local businesses, with waterfall enrichment across more than 22 sources.
  • New in version 2.0: a native dialer with parallel dialing, dedicated campaign types, a conversational interface, ML-based lead scoring and a Signals page for funding, leadership, hiring, investor and tech stack changes.
  • Enterprise controls include SOC 2 Type II, single sign-on, role-based access, read-only CRM mode, field-level export controls and CRM-synced suppression lists, with Salesforce and HubSpot sync.
  • Artisan names SumUp, CookUnity, Quora and Informa as customers.
  • Pricing is custom and moves to a credit-based model, and V1 customers will be migrated progressively through 2026.

Context

This is the only Artisan announcement in our coverage. Artisan says the main change from the first version is that Ava now closes the loop from first touch to booked meeting, where V1 required a human to review replies, book meetings and manage campaign performance. The company says it is backed by $36 million in venture funding and was founded in 2023.

Not disclosed

  • Credit prices or typical contract size
  • Performance data such as reply or meeting rates
  • Date by which all V1 customers will be migrated
