6sense names Ashley Jefferson chief people officer and Julia Lake CISO
6sense appointed Ashley Jefferson as chief people officer and promoted Julia Lake to chief information security officer.
6sense announced on April 16, 2026 that it has named Ashley Jefferson chief people officer and promoted Julia Lake to chief information security officer. Jefferson brings more than 25 years of HR leadership across technology, financial services and civil construction, and was most recently chief people officer at Synoptek. 6sense says she will strengthen people programs, scale systems that drive performance and launch a learning and development strategy focused on management and AI readiness. Lake has been at 6sense for three years and built its security program. CEO Chris Ball said data privacy and security are not a compliance checkbox.
The details
- Jefferson spent six years at Rackspace Technology, rising from senior HR business partner to VP of HR business partners.
- Her earlier roles include The Capital Group Companies, Whataburger and E-Z Bel Construction.
- Before 6sense, Lake held senior security roles at GitLab, where she led security assurance through its October 2021 IPO.
- Lake leads security operations, cloud and application security, AI security and risk governance, compliance and third-party risk management.
Context
These appointments came four days before 6sense published its fifth annual State of the BDR report. In July 2026, our coverage shows 6sense named Micki Howl chief revenue officer and Krystal Ziegler general counsel. Product items in the same period include RevvyAI opening to all customers with enterprise security controls in May and the MCP Server beta in July.
