Momentum announced on February 25, 2026 native Google Meet recording in beta, which it describes as the first conversation intelligence product to capture Google Meet data without a recording bot. The company says it uses Google's own recording infrastructure, so audio flows only through the Google Meet and Momentum pipeline, no visible participant joins the call and no additional subprocessor enters the security review. Momentum says this works the same way as its existing Zoom native recording. It also released Autopilot for Contacts, which extracts details such as titles, reporting structures and priorities from sales conversations and writes them as structured data to the Salesforce Contact object.
The details
- Native Google Meet recording and Autopilot for Contacts are both in beta.
- Momentum says the approach suits regulated industries such as healthcare, financial services and government that block recording bots.
- Autopilot for Contacts writes directly to the Salesforce Contact object without manual rep entry.
- Captured details can include titles, reporting lines, personal interests, priorities and buying signals.
- Existing customers request early access through their account team.
Context
The launch came a week after Salesforce signed a definitive agreement to acquire Momentum (February 18, 2026), which the post references directly. Salesforce completed the acquisition on March 2, 2026, five days after this release. Salesforce's stated rationale for the deal centered on Momentum's ingestion of conversations from third-party video applications, including Google Meet, which is the channel this release extends to without a recording bot.
