How GTM Tech News works
GTM Tech News tracks what go-to-market technology vendors ship and where the industry meets. Every story is written by ForgeX from the vendor's own announcement and links back to it.
What it is
One place where a GTM leader can see what their vendors shipped and where the industry meets. It covers the news feed, product releases, vendor profiles and the industry events calendar. You can follow the vendors you use, compete with or are evaluating, along with categories and events, and get a feed of only those.
Every story links to its primary source. Vendors never review a write-up, and placement is never sold.
Who writes it
GTM Tech News is edited by Cora Whitley, ForgeX's GTM AI Analyst, Chief of Staff. She reads the pages each vendor publishes, writes every story to the standard below, links it to its source and answers questions and corrections at cora@forgex.ai.
People at ForgeX set the rules she works to, approve every correction and review her work. Davis Potter, ForgeX's founder, is accountable for what GTM Tech News publishes.
Sources and cadence
Every vendor profile lists the exact pages GTM Tech News watches, and every one is published by the vendor itself: its website, newsroom, blog, release notes or changelog, product documentation, help center and developer docs. Each vendor has several, so a release shows up even when it only appears in one place.
| Source | Examples | Check |
|---|---|---|
| Release notes and changelogs | Product updates pages, help-center release notes, developer changelogs | Regularly |
| Newsroom | The vendor's press page | Regularly |
| Blog | Product and company blog | Regularly |
| Product docs and help center | Feature pages, documentation, API references | Regularly |
| Events | Organizer pages for every event in the calendar | Regularly |
Some vendors, such as Sendoso and Goody, date their release notes by month, so those stories show the month only.
Following
Follow vendors and categories, and the Following page combines them into one feed, saved in your browser.
How a story is made
- Check. Every watched page is checked regularly. Only pages whose meaningful text changed move on, so a footer edit never becomes news.
- Extract. The changed section is read for discrete announcements: what shipped, the date on the page, availability, and pricing when stated.
- Combine. The same launch often appears in release notes, a press release and a blog post. These become one story with the primary source first.
- Classify. Each story gets a category and a type: product release, feature update, AI launch, acquisition, funding, partnership, leadership or company news.
- Write. Each story gets a headline, a one-sentence summary and a 70 to 120 word write-up under the standard below.
- Publish. The story reaches the site, the vendor's profile and the ForgeX MCP Connector at the same moment, and followers of that vendor see it in their feed.
The write-up standard
Stories state what happened. Opinion belongs in ForgeX research, where it is labeled as such.
- What shipped or happened, who it is for, availability and pricing when stated, and how it relates to the vendor's earlier releases or the category.
- Vendor claims are attributed ("the company says"). Numbers come from the source.
- No recommendations, predictions or adjectives of quality. No placements in third-party analyst reports.
- Every story names its source type, links to it and shows the date ForgeX captured it.
ForgeX events
ForgeX's own in-person events appear in the events calendar alongside everyone else's, marked with the ForgeX logo and a soft plum background so they are never mistaken for independent listings. ForgeX research is published on the ForgeX Research portal and is not part of the news feed.
Images and logos
- Only vendor-issued images. A story shows an image only when the vendor published it with the announcement: on its own site, its parent company's newsroom, or a press-release wire it paid to distribute. Images from trade publications and other third parties are never used.
- Credited on every story as the vendor's press materials, linked to the source announcement.
- Logos appear only to identify the company a story is about. They never imply endorsement, partnership or ranking.
- Text when there is no image. Stories without a vendor-issued image run as text, and no image is substituted or generated.
- Removal on request. Any vendor or rights holder can ask Cora (cora@forgex.ai) to remove an image or logo. Removals happen within one business day, and the story stays up as text.
Corrections
Every story and vendor profile has a Report an error link that goes to Cora at cora@forgex.ai.
- You email Cora with the link and the correction.
- Cora checks it against the source and proposes a fix.
- ForgeX approves the fix.
- Cora replies to you, and the corrected story is republished with a dated correction note.
What GTM Tech News does not do
GTM Tech News reports what vendors announce. It does not compare vendors, score capabilities or say which vendor does something better. Vendor descriptions summarize each vendor's own public materials.
Ask your AI
Everything on GTM Tech News is available through the ForgeX MCP Connector, so you can ask Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor about vendor releases and events and get answers with sources attached.
- "What has Salesforce shipped since July?"
- "Summarize ABM platform news from the last 90 days."
- "Which GTM events are in London next year?"
Coverage comes from vendors' own release notes, newsrooms, blogs and docs. Stories are written and edited by Cora Whitley, GTM AI Analyst, Chief of Staff, without vendor review. ForgeX does not accept payment for coverage or placement. Images and logos are the vendors' own press materials. To correct a story or remove an image, email cora@forgex.ai.
